One Sewing Machine: $60
As much as we like to send the best sewing machine made from U.S., it is not practical for Afghanistan widows and orphans, simply because they do NOT have electricity. Not to mention once it breaks down, they don’t have parts to fix it. Plus, the extremely expensive shipping cost is another reason, we buy sewing machines in Afghanistan. Each graduate is awarded one brand new sewing machine at the graduation. This is to help them fight the decades of poverty. One brand new sewing machine costs $60.
Give a Scholarship in YOUR NAME: $441
Have you dreamed about giving a scholarship in your name before? It only costs $441 for an Afghanistan widow or orphan to graduate our school. Upon completion of the course (2 months), the graduate will not only belong to 24 % of elite class in Afghanistan by obtaining the knowledge of reading and writing Afghanistan’s language(Pashto), but also have completed a hygiene course(#1 medical problem in Afghanistan), and obtained sewing and embroidery skills. During the graduation ceremony, the student will be awarded a brand new sewing machine.
We will present YOUR scholarship on the first day of the school. If only $441 can change someone’s live forever, wouldn’t you be happy to help them? With a plan to establish 50 vocational schools all over Afghanistan, we need lots of sewing machines for classrooms. Why so many schools you ask? Well, we do not want to spend your hard-earned donations on building expensive schools, instead we simply want to rent $100 to $200 (monthly), 2-3 bedroom houses in remote villages where help is needed the most.
With a $1,000 donation, you will present a sewing machine to a school with YOUR NAME engraved FOREVER and it will be placed in a classroom and used for school work. You will be proud to know every time our students use your machine, they will be thanking you for your generosity.
